This Lent, I’m taking up a 40-day challenge to stop eating meat with Lent Event to raise funds that help build peace and beat poverty through the work of UnitingWorld and it's partners.

According to the FAO (Food and Agricultural Organization of the United Nations), farmed animals are responsible for 14.5% of total greenhouse gas emissions. Eating less meat assists in reducing human-caused climate change, soil erosion, water pollution, and negative impacts on biodiversity.

Currently, I am 1.65km into my 10km March swim to support ReachOut achieve its mission of providing young people with the support they need to be happy and well. I pledge to match the money I raise in Laps for Life to donate to Uniting World.

UnitingWorld works with in-country partners in the Pacific, Asia and Africa, helping communities to unlock their potential and set themselves free from poverty and injustice.

My Updates

Laps for Life

For the month of March, I set a goal to swim 10km in Laps for Life to help young Aussies living with mental health difficulties. I’m proud to say that I swam 3km and raised $307 for ReachOut. I've matched this donation to help my team at Leichhardt Uniting Church for Lent Event.

Thank you to my Supporters
