Choose your challenge

Skip beef and lamb for 40 days to cut your food emissions in half. If you’re already vegan, eat local products only or aim for zero foodwaste.

Ditch your car for 40 days and switch to eco-friendly transport. Walk, bike, or take public transport instead to create positive change every day.

For 40 days, repair, reuse, and recycle instead of buying new. If you must buy, challenge yourself to keep it sustainable and packaging-free.
Your effort can make a big impact
Climate change hurts us all. But those who caused the least harm are paying the highest price. Disasters abound. Hunger is growing.
Take on a 40-day challenge to cut emissions by changing how you eat, travel, or use energy.
Raise funds to provide urgent help to those on the frontlines of climate crisis.
Let your actions speak louder than words.
Why it works
Cutting emissions is key to fighting climate change. By changing your own lifestyle to reduce your carbon footprint, you’re lowering emissions AND inspiring and challenging your peers, AND signalling loudly to government and the market that you want them to act too.
Every dollar you raise will support people whose lives are being devastated by climate change. You are giving hope and help and you're raising awareness of the urgency of the issue with your friends and family.

Share your story
Write to the Minister for Climate Change and Energy Chris Bowen, and your local MP and tell them what you're doing and why you're doing it. Ask them to take action through policy and legislation. It's important that our government knows that people are willing to take personal action on climate change, and they want our country to take public action.
