The power of generosity
Sohadi, a mother and grandmother from rural India, understands the power of one act of generosity better than most.
Years ago, Sohadi received a single goat through one of our partner projects. It was the start of something remarkable.
From that one goat, she built a small herd, earned enough to buy cows and a threshing machine, and even reclaimed her family’s mortgaged land.
Now she provides for her grandchildren, sending them to school and helping others in her community do the same.
“With that one goat I was able to change my family’s life,” she told us. “I wish more people could have the same opportunity.”
