UnitingWorld Sunday
2025 Theme: 'Carers and Servants of Our Common Home'
The Uniting Church in Australia is connected in partnership with churches across the Pacific, Asia and Africa. They are vibrant, inspiring and dedicated people of God who are transforming lives and communities for the better.
UnitingWorld is the agency that manages these partnerships for the wider UCA.
Hosting a UnitingWorld Sunday service is a chance to hear the wisdom of our partners, learn more about our work together, and learn how we can all make a difference.
UnitingWorld Sunday 2025 launches May 4, but you can host your UnitingWorld Sunday service whenever it suits your church calendar!
What's new in 2025?
Rev Dr Cliff Bird speaks on Genesis 2:1-15, challenging us to be Carers and Servants of Our Common Home.
Cliff is a theologian and minister from the United Church in the Solomon Islands. He has worked extensively with UnitingWorld, including authoring our publications on the theology of gender equality and human dignity, and serving on the Pacific-wide Theology of Disaster Resilience Working Group.
Cliff is currently working with the NSW and ACT Synod, resourcing the Uniting Church in providing pastoral care and religious and spiritual guidance to people who are participating in the Pacific Australia Labour Mobility Scheme (PALMS) program.
The sermon video and other resources will help you host your UnitingWorld Sunday service - PowerPoint resources, colouring-in sheets, information about UnitingWorld, promotional assets, opportunities to give and more!
