Pacific-Australian Young Leaders Summit

The Pacific-Australian Emerging Leaders network is made up of young people from across the Pacific region, working together to foster relationships, build partnerships and take action on the region’s most important development issues.

Each year the network comes together for a summit to engage Australia’s parliamentarians about key justice priorities identified by themselves. Last year, delegates advocated for ‘healthy environments, empowered young people, and flourishing communities across the Pacific region’, while building lifelong connections.

It’s an incredibly diverse and powerful network that connects First Nations, Pasifika, diaspora and other young Australian leaders under a shared vision.

The Pacific-Australian Young Leaders Summit (PAELS) will take place this year from Nov 24 – Dec 1, 2023. Being held over a week in Sydney and Canberra, the cost of accommodation, transport and registration for each delegate is $1800.

Your support will help Mikali attend and make a valuable contribution on behalf of the Uniting Church in Australia.
