Reducing plastic to raise funds for climate related disasters
Life for our Pacific neighbours is challenging enough without the dramatic increase in storms, cyclones, droughts and natural disasters that climate change is creating.
In Tuvalu, one of the poorest nations in the Pacific, it’s hard to grow enough food to eat as salt poisons the table water and water temperature changes impact the number and quality of fish that are the backbone of local markets.
UnitingWorld’s partners are supporting Pacific people as they advocate for climate justice, helping them use hydroponic gardening and drought resistant seeds, training people to respond in disaster and providing emergency relief.
